Drugs Worth Rs. 27.8 Million Seized in Crackdown Across Pakistan

March 3, 2026 — Islamabad, Pakistan:
Law enforcement agencies in Pakistan have launched a coordinated anti-narcotics crackdown, seizing chars and ice worth approximately Rs. 27.8 million and arresting multiple suspicious persons, officials confirmed today.

Major Raids across Areas

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted at least seven intelligence-led operations across several cities, targeting drug distribution networks and peddlers near educational institutions and major transit points.

Among the significant recoveries were:

  • 3.6 kg of hashish seized from a suspect near Rehmaniya Phatak in Gujrat.
  • 300 g of hashish recovered near a university on Hattar Road in Haripur.
  • 7.01 kg of methamphetamine (ice) seized in Islamabad, hidden inside cushion covers in a parcel destined for New Zealand.
  • Huge consignments of narcotics intercepted near Quetta, Mastung, and Lahore, almost 100kg of hashish stops in seperate vehicle.

Forces also seized a large amount of tramadol and Nexus pills from a container at Karachi Port bound for Saudi Arabia.

Suspects in Custody

At least six suspects have been arrested in connection with the raids, and the cases has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act, 1997.

Authorities say that interrogations are ongoing to dismantle distribution networks, particularly those supplying drugs near schools and universities.

Authorities have not yet released full details about all the locations where the narcotics were seized, but they confirmed that action was taken in both urban and rural areas.

Additional Local Drug Enforcement

In Peshawar, provincial excise intelligence squads conducted separate operations today, arresting four suspects, including a woman, and seized over 3 kg of ice during multiple raids across different areas.

Government Response

Law enforcement agencies reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-narcotics operations and said people to inform any suspicious activity in their area. Prosecutors are preparing for court proceedings against the arrested suspects to punish them.
