This policy explains how PakBrief’s newsroom operates, how we decide what to cover, and the standards every article is expected to meet before publication.

Editorial Independence

Our reporting and story selection are made independently by our editorial team. Advertisers, sponsors, and other business partners have no input into what we cover or how we cover it. If sponsored or promotional content is ever published, it will be clearly labeled as such and kept separate from our news reporting.

What We Cover

We report on news relevant to Pakistani readers across six areas: Pakistan (national policy and current affairs), Tech & Telecom, Finance, Sports, Education, and Auto. We prioritize stories with real, verifiable public interest — policy changes, price movements, regulatory decisions, and developments that affect how people in Pakistan live, work, and spend.

Sourcing Standards

Our reporting is expected to be based on official notifications, named sources, company statements, or other verifiable material. Our full sourcing and verification approach is set out in our Fact-Checking Policy.

Bylines and Accountability

Every article carries a byline identifying who wrote it. We believe readers deserve to know who is responsible for what they’re reading.

Corrections and Accuracy

Opinion and Analysis

Where an article contains analysis or opinion rather than straight news reporting, we aim to make that distinction clear to readers, either through the framing of the piece or explicit labeling.
