Pak Suzuki Motor Company has revised the price of the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid twice within a single day, first raising it sharply and then softening the blow with a limited-time promotional discount. The back-to-back updates leave buyers paying more than before, even after the discount is applied.

What Happened

Earlier this week, Pak Suzuki updated its official website and raised the price of the Fronx GLX 6A/T Hybrid in Mono Tone from Rs. 6,299,999 to Rs. 7,000,000 — an increase of Rs. 700,001. The Two Tone variant saw a similar jump, rising from Rs. 6,374,999 to Rs. 7,075,000.

Just a few hours after the hike went live, the company announced a limited-time discount on the newly revised prices. Under this offer, the Mono Tone variant is now available for Rs. 6,700,000, while the Two Tone variant is priced at Rs. 6,775,000 — a reduction of Rs. 300,000 on each variant.

Despite the discount, both variants remain Rs. 400,001 costlier than their original prices. In effect, Suzuki raised prices by roughly Rs. 700,000 and then discounted them by Rs. 300,000, resulting in a net increase of about Rs. 400,000 for buyers.

Why Are Fronx Hybrid Prices Rising in Pakistan?

The price hike comes against the backdrop of a steep tax increase on hybrid vehicles. The government raised the General Sales Tax (GST) on hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) from 8.5% to 25% as part of the FY2026-27 budget, with the higher rate taking effect from July 1 after the earlier concession under the Auto Policy 2021-26 expired. The government has yet to announce the new Auto Policy 2026-31, leaving automakers and buyers without clarity on future pricing.

Other automakers have made similar adjustments to their hybrid lineups in response to the tax change. Indus Motor Company reportedly raised prices of the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV lineup by as much as Rs. 1.364 million, while Honda Atlas increased the price of the HR-V e by a comparable margin.

Which Variants Are Affected

The price revision applies only to the hybrid GLX 6A/T variants of the Fronx. Pak Suzuki has not changed pricing for the non-hybrid Fronx GL 5MT and GL 4AT variants, which continue to be sold at their existing ex-factory prices.

How Long Will the Discount Last?

Pak Suzuki has not disclosed a specific end date for the promotional offer, stating only that it is available “for a limited period and on limited units only.” Prospective buyers who want to lock in the discounted rate are advised to confirm current pricing and stock availability with an authorized dealership before booking, as the company has shown it can revise prices with little notice.

The Bigger Picture

The Fronx has been one of Pak Suzuki’s strongest performers since its Pakistan launch. According to PAMA sales data, the model led the market with 1,717 units sold in June 2026, marking a 211.05% jump in sales. With hybrid vehicles across the industry now facing higher taxes, buyers eyeing the Fronx Hybrid may want to finalize their purchase decisions sooner rather than later, as further price adjustments cannot be ruled out.
