The Sindh government has decided to release salaries, allowances, and pensions early for Muslim government employees and pensioners ahead of Eid ul Adha 2026.
According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Finance Department, employees and pensioners will receive their full May 2026 payments on May 20 instead of the regular payment date of June 1.
The decision applies to all Muslim employees and pensioners working under the provincial government. It also includes work-charged and contingent-paid staff.
The provincial government took this step to help employees and pensioners manage their Eid expenses and complete preparations before the holidays. Eid ul Adha is expected to fall on May 27 or May 28, depending on the moon sighting.
Officials said the Finance Department has already informed all relevant departments to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and pensions across the province.
The move has brought relief to thousands of government employees and retired workers in Sindh who rely on timely payments for Eid shopping and other household expenses.
