The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has announced the schedule for the 27th Engineering Practice Examination (EPE) Fall 2026, giving registered engineers across Pakistan another chance to qualify for the Professional Engineer (PE) title.
Exam Date and Format
According to PEC, the exam will be held as a computer-based test (CBT) on Sunday, November 8, 2026. It is open to registered engineers seeking the Professional Engineer designation.
Cities Hosting the Exam
The EPE will be conducted in multiple cities nationwide, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, Karachi, Hyderabad/Jamshoro, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Quetta, Gwadar, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad (AJK).
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Have graduated on or after January 15, 2008
- Hold at least five years of practical experience in their relevant engineering field after PEC registration
- Have earned 17 CPD points, including up to 10 points from work experience and 7 from other CPD categories
PEC has also permitted candidates from the 24th, 25th, and 26th EPE sessions who passed only one part of the exam to reapply for the remaining part.
Application Fee
- Both parts: Rs. 5,000 plus bank charges
- One part only: Rs. 2,500 plus bank charges
How and When to Apply
Candidates can apply online through the PEC CPD portal, where the exam format, syllabus, study material, and guidelines are also available. The last date to apply is August 15, 2026.
