The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced a major increase in remuneration for teachers performing examination duties, bringing significant financial relief to thousands of staff members involved in the annual examination process across the city.
50% Increase in Exam Duty Allowances
In a notification issued by the board, examination-related allowances have been increased by 50 percent across all categories of duty staff. The revision is aimed at acknowledging the effort and responsibility of teachers who ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of board examinations each year.
Revised Pay Structure for Examination Staff
According to the updated rates, the daily allowance for superintendents has been raised from Rs. 1,560 to Rs. 2,340. Deputy superintendents will now receive Rs. 1,800 per day, up from the previous rate of Rs. 1,260.
The remuneration for invigilation staff, who form the largest segment of examination duty personnel, has also been increased — from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500 per day.
