Global Event Set for February 28 at 14:00 (GMT+1)
Xiaomi has confirmed that their next global launch event will take place in Barcelona on February 28, 14:00 (GMT+1), just before the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Since Xiaomi usually launches its global models in Pakistan soon after, the Xiaomi 17 series is expected to arrive in Pakistan shortly after the global launch.
Expected Devices at the Event
Along with the Ultra model, several other products are expected to be launched:
- Xiaomi 17 (standard version)
- Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro
- Xiaomi Tag
- Xiaomi Watch 5
Models That May Not Launch Globally
There is no confirmation about the global release of:
- Xiaomi 17 Pro
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max
Current reports suggest these models will remain exclusive to China, including the special version that has a rear display.
Global Variant Specifications
Recent reports say the global versions will keep similar pricing and specifications to the Chinese models in Europe. However, the battery size will be smaller.
Xiaomi 17 (Global)
- Battery: 6,330 mAh
- China version battery: 7,000 mAh
Xiaomi 17 Ultra (Global)
- Battery: 6,000 mAh
- China version battery: 6,800 mAh
Except for the battery capacity, the global models are expected to have almost the same features as their Chinese versions have.
Xiaomi launch in Pakistan
With the global launch happening at the end of February, the Xiaomi 17 series is likely to launch in Pakistan soon after with in weeks likely to launch on March.
