KP Bans Unregistered Private Schools from Board Exams

The Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has ordered all education boards to stop allowing students from unregistered private schools to take matric and intermediate exams.

These schools are not registered with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority under the KP Private Schools Regulatory Authority Act, 2017.

Hundreds of Schools Identified

Officials have found 387 private high and higher secondary schools that are not registered but are still linked with education boards across the province, including the merged districts.

Even without proper registration, these schools have been sending their students to board examinations.
