CM Punjab Confirms 4 Consecutive Holidays

People across Punjab will enjoy an extended long weekend as the Punjab government confirmed four consecutive holidays, giving citizens a welcome chance to relax, celebrate, and spend time with family.

According to the announcement, the Punjab government has declared February 6 as a provincial holiday for Basant, while February 5 will remain a public holiday on the occasion of Kashmir Day. Since the holidays are followed by Saturday and Sunday, residents will get a complete four-day long weekend across the province.

Holiday Schedule in Punjab

The official holiday lineup includes:

  • February 5 (Wednesday) — Kashmir Day (Public Holiday)
  • February 6 (Thursday) — Basant (Provincial Holiday in Punjab)
  • February 8 (Saturday) — Weekend
  • February 9 (Sunday) — Weekend

This creates a 4-day break for schools, offices, and government departments in Punjab.

CM Punjab’s Message

Chief Minister Punjab said the extended break will allow people to enjoy Basant festivities, spend quality time with family and friends, and recharge before returning to work.

She also urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and ensure that all activities remain safe and peaceful.
