PakBrief is a Pakistan-focused news platform covering technology, business, finance, sports, education, and the auto industry — the stories that shape how people in Pakistan work, spend, connect, and get around, explained clearly and without unnecessary jargon.
We launched in 2026 with a simple starting point: a lot of the news that matters most to Pakistani readers — a telecom pricing change, a new tax on hybrid vehicles, a regulator that exists on paper but not in practice — gets buried in wire copy or explained in a way that’s harder to follow than it needs to be. Our job is to close that gap: track what’s changing, explain why it matters, and get it in front of readers quickly and accurately.
What We Cover
- Pakistan — national policy, government decisions, and current affairs
- Tech & Telecom — PTA regulation, telecom rollouts, and how global tech developments reach Pakistani users
- Auto — new launches, price changes, and the policy decisions that move car prices in Pakistan
How We Work
Accuracy comes before speed. Wherever possible, we verify claims against official notifications, company statements, or named sources before we publish — and when we get something wrong, we correct it openly rather than quietly editing it away. Our full editorial and fact-checking approach is outlined on our Editorial Policy page.
We also believe readers deserve to know who’s writing what they read, which is why every article carries a byline.
Who We Are
PakBrief is run by a small, Pakistan-based editorial team. Our reporting is led by Hassaan Bhattii, who covers the bulk of our technology, business, and sports coverage, alongside contributing writers who help us stay on top of policy, education, and auto news. We’re a lean operation by design — we’d rather cover fewer stories thoroughly than chase every headline.
